One of our most enduring and popular designs, the Tulsi Dress has been a Karma East favourite for years. Made from 100% cotton, this above-the-knee summer dress is comfortable, breathable and easy to wear.
The Nila print features a dense, folk-inspired floral pattern in shades of blue on a white background. With sweet cap sleeves, a classic round neckline and delicate pleats falling from the centre front, the Tulsi has a simple, flattering shape that never seems to go out of style.
Fully lined in soft cotton for extra coverage, this short cotton dress is a lovely choice for warm days, holidays and everyday wear. Pair it with sandals or sneakers for a relaxed look.

I hope I'll come up as verified because I never got a request to review, but I absolutly adore this dress! I wore it to my Australian Citizenship ceremony, wanting to wear wattle, and had all the attending female Politicians asking where I had got it from.
It is lined which is perfect, nice and airy and so comfortable. I bought an M because I am 171cm, and always anywhere between 68 and 74kg, with a little wider shoulders and thorax and it looked gorgeous!

Great rich blue colour, basically A line so quite flattering shape. Love little pleats in bodice. Lining gives it shape but need to pull it down a bit if wearing warm top underneath. I wear K.E. electric blue rayon top when weather a bit cool. No pockets but it suits this silhouette. I’m 5foot 4 so I don’t need to shorten it, which is great. Would have preferred the neckline a little higher, also the clematis long sleeve blouse which I have. This is my second Tulsi dress. Hooray!
This dress is a rich dark blue which I love. Photos are accurate. This is my second Tulsi dress. Apart from the rich colour, I like the shape which is basically A line and not too close fitting so suits my figure which is neither slim nor full and I don’t feel the need to wear a bra. I am 5 foot four and I’m happy that I don’t have to shorten it. There are no pockets. This is one of my floral K.E. dresses that is a candidate for my daughters party.Theme flowers. Today I wore it with the electric blue rayon top from K.E. underneath as the weather is still a bit cool. And I’ve got the leggings as well.. Top job!
The perfect 'go to dress.' When I'm in a hurry to get out the door I wear this dress and always get compliments! The only thing that would make it more perfect were if it had pockets.... otherwise, THE PERFECT summer dress! I will be buying a few more!!

Can be dressed up or down, suits all occasions.

Loving this dress! Super comfortable and love the fabric pattern.
It’s a little bigger around the shoulders than I’d like, but I’m glad I went up a size to accomodate my bust. Otherwise it fits great and styles nicely with jackets.
I’m 162 cm and wearing an XL.

This dress is uniquely beautiful! I am 4'11 and 112 lbs, and the extra-small fits me perfectly. I look forward to the brand-new fabric stiffness softening with each washing. My husband took one look and said, "That looks like you!" The fabric bag is a bonus gift.
My favourite dress. Now if only this one had pockets! Beautiful cut, beautiful fabric, lovely little sleeves, so comfortable and flattering. Great for Queensland Summers! I love it.
Gorgeous Cranberry print, love that it is lined. XS is my usual size and it fit perfectly.
Amla is a beautiful dark blue print. I washed it in cold water on delicate cycle and the water turned bluish so I recommend washing only with other blues or darks. I removed dress right after washer stopped, smoothed out fabric, hung it to dry and it does not need ironing.
I’m 5’7’ (170 cm) and 122 lbs (54 kgs), small-chested and the XS fits well.

While most of our garments don’t experience colour bleeding when washed, it isn’t unheard of for indigo and other deep blue dyes to release some excess dye upon the first wash, as these colours in natural dyes are known to bleed more than others.
This excess dye should gradually wash out over the first few washes, so you should be able to wash it alongside all your other clothes in no time ☺️

This is my second Tulsi dress. The style and fabric are just perfect for hot summer days. The Aspen colour and pattern is beautiful. Can’t wait for the warmer weather to start wearing it.

Very happy with this dress. I’m 5 foot four and this dress comes below the knee for me, but not too long. I have average size boobs and I have discovered to my delight that I don’t have to wear a bra if I don’t feel like it. It still looks good especially with the vertical stitching down the front. there are no pockets but I can cope! It’s loose enough to pop over the head. It’s a flattering shape and I can wear a pendant with the scoop neck if I feel like it. The cap sleeve is generous and will prevent any sunburn shoulder. Will definitely try this in another colour as well.
