Alice Dress Nocturne

The Alice dresses are my absolute favourite! I am a short size 16 and these always look great. There are even a few designs I have in different sizes from losing/gaining weight! I love them that much. I wear them in the middle of summer with a nice sandal or spring/autumn with boots! My favourite dresses I own.

I’d been searching all over for a dress that made my (sizeable, droopy) boobs look good and finally found it in this dress! The dress is flattering and comfortable, and the wattle print is the first print I’ve seen in a long time that jumped and said ‘buy me!’ instead of ‘this’ll do’.

The pockets in the dress are also the best pockets I’ve ever had in a dress. Big enough to fit my phone and once the phone is in the pocket, it doesn’t make the dress bulge or flare out uncomfortably and weirdly. You don’t even notice it. It’s like the holy grail of dress pockets.

My only quibble is that I’m not as tall as the model, so the dress sat longer on me than in the photos on the website. I got the dress altered to sit just above the knee and it’s perfect. I should learn how to hem.

I live this dress, even my mum commented. While it is not stretchy at all, the shape is very flattering. I recommend going up in size if unsure. I did send it back to exchange for a bigger size and the process was very easy and quick!

The pomegrantate print is so special and unique! I already had this print in the Aubrey top and when it came back in the Alice dress, resistance was futile! This is my first dress from Karma East and I love it so much! It is very flattering and comfortable. I love the cross-over bodice and V neck, the cap sleeves and fuller skirt. And of course the pockets! I am wearing a Medium. The quality of the cotton is great and the print does not fade over time. I know I will get lots of compliments for the dress as I have for the top. I look forward to getting more Alice dresses in exciting new prints!

1st time customer. Sadly I had to return the 1st dress for the next size up. It fitted but seemed a little tight - which would be no good in hot weather. (I am big in the chest) The next one was perfect 👍 Love the cool cotton material (menopause ladies know how important this is!). Will definitely buy more from here and a good price - not too expensive. I am 5'7" tall and E/F cup. Hope this helps others with a similar body type.

Such a gorgeous dress! Really flattering, modest enough for work and really comfy. Runs smaller than some of the other dresses so worth sizing up. The pomegranate is a gorgeous print!

I am so so excited that the Alice is back and in such great fabric. Bought my first Alice in 2016 and it’s still on regular rotation. I have many other styles (my washing line looks like an ad for Karma East!) but this one is the perfect fit for my pear shape. So happy to have a new one :)

This was my first purchase from Karma East and I love it. The fabric is vibrant, the neckline perfect, no gaping and not low. I’ve also purchased the Billie dress and that’s another perfect fit. I have the Morgan skirt and Tee coming in the mail. I purchased the medium size.

Love the Alice! Very comfortable. The patterns are just lovely and the cut is just ‘fun but professional’ - great for a larger bust and to cover the middle… I’m around 175cm, e80kg and DD bust… very much my style!!

This dress is almost perfect— just a few minor things. The bust area is a bit gappy but think I can fix it with a couple stitches and then would LOVE if petite sizes were offered— the torso is a touch long but workable on my curvy 5’1” frame. Thank goodness each style of dress has their own measurements which is SUPER helpful, but know that 100% cotton will mean no stretch and the fabric is structured. All in all, I love the silhouette and the pockets— so it’s a keeper!

So comfy, love it and so practical with pockets.

The Alice dress has been my favourite forever (I have about 6 of them), and this print (Sahira) is just gorgeous. The colours are perfect especially for the cooler months. A new favourite to reach for.

These dresses are absolutely gorgeous and fit so nicely to give a very flattering shape.

I absolutely love this dress. It looks exactly like the photo, fits like a glove, and the material is pleasantly cool for hot weather without being at all transparent. As a busty woman, I have trouble with crossover tops with a seam that is supposed to sit under the bust, but in this case, the seam sits exactly where it should and the crossover doesn't gape at all. This really is the perfect dress.

I have this style already and find it flattering for my figure and comfortable to wear. Love this fabric.

Very flattering dress. I am not a young woman and I love the 50s vibe of this style. It looks good and suits me.

I love my Alice dresses - I am now the proud owner of three - Verdure, Mistlerose and Dianthus. I find the cut very flattering. From the other reviews I read, I wasn't sure whether to size up from the size I wear in my Billie dresses but I didn't need to. The same size fitted me perfectly. I find the dresses comfortable to wear - the cotton feels amazing even on really hot days. I always receive lots of compliments when I wear them. I highly recommend!

Really like the dress, like other reviewers I think it is likely to be sized on the smaller end. I am typically a size 4 or 6 (NZ), loved the style (and pockets especially!) but fully expected to have to tailor the dress to fit. Pleasantly surprised to find that it looked great with a waist belt and no other alterations, but obviously that will go the other way for people looking for a larger size.

The pockets very easily hold a phone/wallet/small notebook, though unlikely to have more than one item in each. Shape is very flattering, skirt flares out beautifully and shape seems to be kept after a wash and iron.

I loved this dress but struggled with the zip being at the back. My fault for not reading the description properly when purchasing. Perhaps a side zip would be better for us with less flexibility. The returns process was very easy and prompt service. I love the other items I've purchased.
